What’s this all about?

I am a Summit City single – making the best of life in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fort Wayne is nicknamed the Summit City because it was the highest peak on the canal route back in the day (or something like that), but the word summit also means “the highest point of attainment or aspiration.”

I feel like I’m at a summit in my life- the highest point of attainment or aspiration. This is because I am finally at peace in my life and always striving to follow God’s calling.

My posts will fall into one of the following categories, each a word that describes something I am:

Christian – I am not defined by a religion. I am confident in who I am in Christ.

IMG_20130724_181827Single – Not married, never been married. Someday I will be, but until then, my adventures as a single gal are pretty interesting.

Writer – I have always been a writer. It’s one of my favorite things to do, and it’s why I majored in Journalism and got my degree in it from Indiana University in 2004. I also love creative writing and plan on sharing some poems I have written recently, as well as years ago.

Opinionated – I’m not one to force my opinion on other people, but I do like to share what I think.

Fan – I am a fan of all sorts of things: sports, music, reality television, Starbucks, etc. etc. Please don’t judge me for my ridiculous obsessions.

That’s about it! Hope you enjoy reading!
